Vendo VF217 with compressor problem.

Hi, is there anybody who can help me with info regarding proff testing and filling of my Vendo VF217. I think the compressor is defect and need to be replaced. The problem started, when we heard increasing nois from the cooler, then the fuse blow. I replaced the fuse, but the compressor will not start, lot of nois from the start relay, seems like it try to start.
Hope somebody can help me, i can't get any complete compressor over here in Norway, so I need to repair it by myself.

Those symptoms are of a totally locked up and bad compressor

and you'll need to replace it. Unless you're a qualified refrigeration technician you won't be able to do this yourself.

I can get a new compressor

I can get a new compressor from Electrolux in Sweden, my friend who is a plumber will solder the pipes, and my son work in a garage, they checking and refilling AC on cars. So I hope that we together can make it. We don't know the quantity and the pressure of the liquid refrigerant. As a backup we have a company in Stavanger who build big cooling agregat, but this job is so small so they increasing the price and hope I don't come.

Check the label on your cooling system base.

Many of them have labels that list the type and amount of freon in ounces that it takes to fill an evacuated system. You have to get a compressor that matches the type of freon you will use. Compressors use two different oils that are not compatible with all freon types. Try to get one with oil that matches the freon that was in your machine before.
