NRI Currenza C2 AIRPORT installing / initialization SIM card problem

Hello there, I am from Romania. My company just bought a NRI Currenza C2 Blue with Airport module. We tried all day long to initialize the Airport module, but it seems that the SIM card is not recognized, because the standard message "AIRPORT REGISTERED" is not appearing on machine start-up like the Manual states it should do. We tried with several types of SIM cards, including voice and GPRS/3G including the older CSD activated by the mobile provider (ORANGE Romania). The diagnostic message for the Audit module is "9200458-01.01 0% Status: Error 00 Airport present not connected". We tried to disconnect the battery on the interior of the back cover, then reconnecting it after 10 minutes, but still no success in initializing the Airport module. Any ideas what it might be?
