Old Dixie-Narco coins fall straight through

justin76,
Since you have single-price machine with power getting to the machine and coin mech, several things come to mind:
1. You need to have sodas in the machine for it work, at least 1 column will need enough sodas to turn the sold out lights off or your coins will fall straight. So, fill up column 1 with a 12 pack.
2. You must have enough change in the coin mech of all 3 denominations so the coin mech can make change, or your coins will fall straight through.
3. If the above checks are done, try pushing a soda button with soda in that column, it sounds stupid but once a coin mech has accepted enough money to reach the vend price it won't take any more coins, they just fall straight through.
4. Your machine is single-price machine so it is wired in series, if there is a jammed can or other obstruction stopping the motor cams from reaching 'hone' position nothing will vend beyond that selection switch. If it is your first selection motor cam that is that way, then no selection will work and the coins will fall straight through. Below I have uploaded a picture of the motor cam in the 'home' position, one micro-switch up and one micro-switch down. The cam colors may vary but the micro-switches should look just like the pic. 1 up on cam, 1 down in the notch.
Also the red display only lights up when there is low coins in the coin mech and it says "Use Exact Change". It could be burnt out or just unplugged. Check with a multi-tester to see if it is getting voltage from it's 2 wires. It shouldn't affect other stuff, burnt out or not.
hope this helps,
daryl

You have either lost all prices in your machine or you have

a bad machine control board or bad coin mech. Press the "check price" button on your control board and then enter your selection numbers. If you see only zeros then you've lost all your prices and they need to be reprogrammed into the machine. If the prices are there then you have a bad coin mech or logic board. You can only use 110V logic mechs in this machine so that would be a Coinco 9300L or a Mars TRC6000. Do not use a Mars MC5000 because they are obsolete and were never good coin mechs to begin with.

If you've lost the prices then you may need to replace the board anyway to prevent this from happening again. The board will lose its prices if the memory is bad on the board and you lose power. There isn't a battery to replace as the issue is with the volatile RAM on the board, so if you continue to lose your pricing because of unstable power then you'll need a new logic board. Also make sure your light bulb isn't burned out or dark on the ends. A bad bulb will flicker and lock up or damage the control board. There is a light filter kit available to install on the lamp harness that helps prevent interference.

If you need any parts for this machine you can send me an email and I'll help you out.

Then your problem is either a bad logic board or

a bad coin mech. Email me if you need either of these.
