Coinco Global € 4-Price

Hi there, I am new at Vending stuff.
I have a Coinco Global € 4Price changer. My Problem is that on the Main Logic Board the red LED is constant ON. When I turn on the unit I can hear a relais click, the display says 36.00 than Eur. The 36.00 and the Eur is normal I think. That the LED on the Main Logic Board is on isn't normal.
When I try to set up the Acceptor - 20cent in Tube 1, 1 Euro in Tube 2,... works fine, but all the other coins, that should go in the Box below, take the reject-way.
-----------
My final Project:
I live at a living community and I bought on E-Bay an old Coca Cola Vending Machine (very old - mechanical). Right now everyone comes to me for change because the unit only takes 1€ and 50cent. I want to use the Global € seperate so that they can put in all their small money - press the release button - and get 1€ or 50ct. I know that the Unit wants to communicate with some other device but therefor I will concert later - or someone here has a good idea.

Thanks
Robert

Coinco Global changer problem

Hello Robert,
the Coinco Global comes in 3 versions:
the G700 (MDB interface) for newer MDB machines.
the L700 (24 volt w/logic interface) for 24volt multi-price machines.
the S700 (110v single-price interface) for older cold drink machines.
You need to find the make & model number of your vending machine and see if it is single-price or multi-price. Our Forum posts (with pics) here: http://www.vend-resource.com/forums/vending-forum/vending-machine-repair...
can help you identify which type it is. You then need to find a model # on you coinco changer and see if they will work together. e.g. If you have a single price machine it is 110v and you will need the model S700.
If after reading our posts on identifing your vending machine, you still have trouble identifing your machine upload some pics and what info you have and I will try to help.
If all the model numbers are the right ones that work together, we can try and run the self-diagnostics on the Coinco unit.
hope this helps,
daryl

Hi Daryl, I don't want to

Hi Daryl,
I don't want to upgrade my old-style Coca Cola Vending machine. I want to leave it as it is. I like this "analog" thing. I bought at E-Bay a Coinco Global (Model-No. DEM-F802E) and a JCM WBA 22 (or highter) bill acceptor. I want to bring these 2 things togehter so that someone can put a 5€ bill in the JCM and press the return button on the Coinco and get 5x1€, or someone puts 5x20ct in the Coinco and press the retun button and gets also 1€ out of the Coinco.
I already talked to Coinco and they told me that this is a 4-price one.
It says that it needs 120V AC but I open it and found the 120 to 27V transformer. I disconnectet it and did 27V direct on the Mainboard. It boots but it want something else to talk with VMC or something like that.
Is there a way to bridge something that the Coinco is usable only for changing money? The machine got the big connector with the 8 flat pins, one MDB, a smaller one with 6 pins and a connector that looks like a "big" 6.5mm earphone plug.
There isn't really much to find in the Internet about this Coinco. The Manual is good but I didn't find any schematics.

I already can "talk" over a Serial cable with the JCM Billacceptor. I used a MAX232 chip. When I put 5€ in the bill acceptor it says on the screen 5€.

I was thinking about a Serial to MDB adapter but can't find any schematics. Because this is a just for fun project I don't want to buy expensive adapters/ converters.

Thanks Robert

Coinco Global Euro problem

Robert,
You are talking about working on the internals of a (fairly) modern coinco coin mech, that's out of the range of my abilities, BUT for fixing/adapting the electronics of a changer or validator these guys are the best:
http://www.coinvaltalk.com/
they have whole section on coinco products and deal with electronic chip problems, etc. and I would think interfacing your equipment to work together wouldn't be a problem for them.
He is on this board occasionally as "validatorman", but he must not have been listening lately.
Tell them Vending-LA.com sent you.
Hope they can help you.
Daryl.
