Coinco Coin Mech Questions

Hello everyone, my name is Ben and I am very new to the vending machine industry. Actually picked up my first machine this weekend. I just purchased an older Dixe Narco pepsi machine and it has a coinco S75 9800-B 115v coin acceptor. This is where i am having my problem. It was working alright and vending at 50 cents a can. It was when i tried to change the price where i think something went wrong. I tried to change the price and since then the coin mech doesnt work and it seems to not be getting any electricity to it. When hit the switch to release the nickels nothing happens not even a sound.

I was wondering if this means my coin changer is totally fried or if there is a way to fix this? Also what are the replacements for this coin mech? and would a coin mech that is labeled 117v work instead of the 115v?

Any information would be helpful.

Welcome to vending Ben.

You are finding out the first thing about vending - that there's a lot of obsolete equipment out there. The S75 is a very old coin mech and not one that should even be in a machine that you want to make money with. If you are just collecting old machines and trying to keep them original then you can get the mech replaced, but only with another old coin mech. If you're serious about vending then you need to put a more current single price coin mech in it which would also then give you the ability to connect a bill validator to it. A Coinco 3300 or 9300 series mech or a Mars TRC6800H would be good to use.

I can provide any of these coin mechs for you if needed. You can contact me through my email link in the left margin.

You didn't mention the model of machine you have. That will help us guide you to also check for a jammed motor or other issue that could prevent the machine from taking money.

Machine Model

This is an old Dixie Narco. Along with being old it is very dirty on the inside because its previous location was inside a welding shop. The model number I found is DNCB 240m/138-6 PE2299.

Also, Ive tried to send an email to you AZVendor but I am not sure it is working.

I haven't received your email yet and it could be due to

the site being slow in forwarding it to me. I'll try sending you and email to see if that works. The DN240 should be a workable machine for you because Dixie Narco is the largest manufacturer of machines. The majority of what they built is still supported by parts, new and used.

Alright thanks for that. Also

Alright thanks for that. Also would a Coinco 9370-SR 117V work in this machine? The vending machine says that it is 115v and I am not sure if that will be a problem.

I still haven't seen your email come through and I would

guess that you didn't receive mine either. Let's avoid the delay here and you can resend it to me at rbepic(four)gatgmaildotcom. The (four) is a digit.
