Can the National 430 take a cc reader? YES!

I'm expanding into cold food vending and are looking at the NV 430 shoppertron.
i know the GPL 436 takes a cc reader but not shure on the 430.

Credit Card Reader on National 430

Mr Ed,
It's my understanding that in order to use a credit card reader, the vending machine has to be MDB compatible and the NV 430 is not an MDB machine. I checked on Vendor's Exchange UCB and InOne Technologies retrofit upgrade boards (MDB compatible) on their websites and they don't list having one for the National 430. It looks like a double strike out.
If anybody knows of an end run around this, I would love to know about it.

Credit card reader on NV 430

Thanks Frank for your insight.
Capitol vending has a MDB kit for the 430 for $176.00. I emailed them over the weekend and am waiting for a reply regarding if there is anything else that is needed in order to put a USA Tech-Eport reader on it.

MDB kit for National 430

Mr. ED,
Way to go, you found an MDB Upgrade Kit for a National 430. Thanks for posting that to the forum, I am sure there are many forum readers that will appreciate the info :)

NV 430 MDB (update)

For any who would like to convert their NV 430 to MDB, there are 3 things you must do:
Buy a MDB kit from Capitol Vending
Upgrade your bill validator to Mei MDB validator (accepts 2008 $5)
Upgrade your coin mech to Mei MDB
These can picked up on eBay between $50-$100.
